Your Fertility Doula
-
I support people and/or couples in their fertility journey toward becoming pregnant.
-
My plan is to help you understand your body and what factors may be affecting your fertility. The goal will be to discover how your cycle works by elaborating on a personal cycle charting.
-
I provide a fertility plan with evidence-based information so families can make informed decisions.
-
I provide emotional support, being always available to listen.
-
I provide physical comfort and information on topics such as self-care, fertility treatments, health & nutrition, and overcoming infertility.
-
I deconstruct the information already provided by health providers by explaining in more detail treatment options and finding the most up-to-date evidence to assist in coming up with a fertility plan.
-
Even though I do not offer services provided by a fertility clinic or a health provider, I will provide advocacy work for you if requested.
-
I can accompany you as a support person to any fertility-related appointments, tests, or procedures

My Fertility story
In my university years, working and studying full-time took a toll on my health. I wasn't eating well, was stressed all the time, always exhausted, and realized that suddenly I stopped menstruating. I didn't menstruate for 4 months in a row and I did not understand what was happening with my body. I finally took the time to go see my primary physician. After an ultrasound, I received a dreadful diagnosis. My doctor told me that I had Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. In the ultrasound, the doctor saw I had multiple cysts in my ovary and that I hadn't been ovulating. She informed me that it most likely had to do with poor eating habits and the fact that I was overweight.
The long-term consequences were if I kept making poor choices regarding my health, it would be very hard for my body to start functioning properly and I would face issues getting pregnant.
I had a wake-up call and I knew I had to take care of my body so I looked into meeting with a holistic nutritionist that was specialized in Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. I was able to commit to a diet plan and since then, I have had no problems with my cycle, which allowed me to have two beautiful children. I would love to support you through this journey. It is hard, emotionally, and physically draining but having a fertility doula that can provide you with the right information will make you feel supported, cared for, and not alone! The biggest thing I want to do as your fertility doula is to help you discover your body and to learn how your body works. Let's get started!
