Hi, I’m Sally — Birth & Postpartum Doula, Sleep Consultant, and Founder of Gentle Hand Doula & Family Services.

Supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood is not just my work — it’s my calling. I provide calm, compassionate, and faith-rooted support so mothers feel confident, informed, and deeply cared for during one of the most transformative seasons of their lives.

I’m married to my husband William, and we’re raising our two daughters in a family beautifully woven from Kenyan, Portuguese, and Canadian roots — a blend of cultures, faith, and strong family values that deeply influences the way I care for others.

My Christian faith is the foundation of how I care for others. It guides me to support families with love, gentleness, prayer when welcomed, and a deep belief in the strength and design of a woman’s body.

I hold a Bachelor in Health Studies from York University and am a Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula through Doula Training School Canada. My additional training includes Spinning Babies®, Postpartum Nutrition Certification, and advanced Rebozo for Birth techniques with mexican midwife Naoli Vinaver, including:

• Correcting & adjusting fetal position with Rebozo
• Stimulating & engaging baby with Rebozo
• Unblocking & loosening the pelvis and soft tissues with Rebozo

These tools allow me to support both the physical and emotional aspects of pregnancy, birth, and recovery in a holistic, body-aware way.

I’ve had the privilege of supporting more than 120 families through birth and postpartum transitions. Each experience has strengthened my belief that no mother should feel alone, unheard, or unsupported. Birth is not only a physical event — it is emotional, spiritual, and often deeply transformative. My role is to create a space where mothers feel safe, respected, and empowered to make decisions that align with their bodies, their babies, and their values.

In addition to doula care, I am also a Certified Sleep Consultant through Peaceful Sleeper Academy, helping exhausted parents find gentle, realistic sleep solutions that work for their family. As a Doula Mentor, I’m passionate about supporting and guiding new doulas as they grow in skill and confidence in their own birth work journeys.

Families often describe my presence as calming, nurturing, and reassuring — like having a steady hand to hold when things feel overwhelming. Whether you’re preparing for birth, navigating postpartum recovery, or needing sleep support, I am here to walk alongside you with practical help, encouragement, and compassionate care.

It is truly an honor to be invited into such sacred moments. I would love to support your family’s journey.

Meet Birth & Postpartum Doula (certifying)

Lynzee Hildebrand

I’m Lynzee - born and raised in Alberta, married to my wonderful husband, and blessed to be a proud mama to two beautiful boys.

When my first son was four months old, I felt a deep calling to change careers and pursue becoming a Birth & Postpartum Doula. My own birth experience was an induction with a medicated delivery that resulted in tearing and an episiotomy. During labor, I often felt unheard and undervalued as a mother. After birth, we faced breastfeeding challenges when we discovered my son was tongue-tied. While it wasn’t an easy journey, we were able to overcome those hurdles and successfully breastfeed,  an experience that shaped my heart for this work.

My second birth was truly beautiful. Supported by a midwife and Sally as my doula, I laboured at home with plans for a home birth, and although we ultimately welcomed him in the hospital, the experience was empowering and deeply healing. He was also tongue-tied, but having it released right away made a world of difference in our breastfeeding journey.

Now, as a mom of two under two, my passion for postpartum work has never felt stronger. I know the transition. I know the exhaustion, the emotions, the questions, and the moments that feel heavy and overwhelming. I also know how deeply powerful this season can be when you’re supported. If you need someone to lean on, talk with, and feel truly seen by -  I’m your girl. I want to be a safe place for you in this season.

My heart is to ensure every mother feels heard, valued, and empowered. I’m passionate about providing the education and support needed for a successful breastfeeding journey and helping families navigate birth and postpartum with confidence, care, and compassion.
