I'm Sally and I'm 31 years old. I'm Canadian, born and raised in Portugal, and moved to Toronto, Canada when I was 17 years old. I have an enormous passion for the institution of the family.

I always loved pregnancy and birth. It always fascinated me the idea of carrying and birthing a child. A few years ago, I felt that I was being called to bless women through the different stages of childbearing. I wanted to support women from the moment they feel ready to conceive to the moment they have toddlers going crazy around their homes. I want to be there through and through.  I knew I had to become a Doula.

I had a unmedicated vaginal birth with my first daughter and a c-section with my second daughter. I know now why...God was really giving me a chance to experience both so I could share my experience with other Mamas.

I'm very passionate about getting to know my clients so I can better help them during the most vulnerable experience of their life: birth & postpartum. My goal is to educate moms and dads, help get baby into the optimal position for birth, and create a safe and loving environments for parents to feel secure birthing their baby. I want all moms and dads in Central Alberta to have a positive birth & postpartum experience.

 

I currently live in Red Deer Alberta with my Canadian-Kenyan husband and my two daughters. A fun fact about us, we speak 3 languages in our home: English, Portuguese, and Swahili.
