Birth Doula Services
What is a Birth Doula?​
​A Birth Doula is about empowering parents by offering evidence-based information, emotional and physical support. A doula will not replace a midwife, a doctor or a partner, instead, a doula is an active member of the birth team. The main focus is to ensure mom (and dad) feel empowered, educated, loved, and celebrated so they can feel secure in birthing and parenting their baby. In other words, a doula becomes your birth bestie working hard to give you the best birth experience despite the outcome.
Birth Package includes:

Free Meet-and-Greet
-
5-8 Prenatal visits at home, or online so you can be fully prepare for labour & delivery. Your doula will do a emotional and mental check up at every meeting and will educate you on a specific topic to empower you for what is coming. Access to our lending library as well as further information and contacts upon request.

No limits to calling, texting or emailing for any questions or concerns between 9 AM - 5PM unless it's an emergency.

On-call support two weeks from your estimated due date until your baby is born

Continuous emotional and physical support (hands on comforting measures; spinning babies exercises/positions to encourage baby to descend into the birth canal) for you and your partner during labour and birth.

1-3 Postpartum visits to follow up and discuss your birth experience; breastfeeding support, emotional support for mom and dad.

Photographs and video at any time during labour and birth if specially requested in prenatal visits

1. Mental Health/Emotional Check in
2. Fears and Concerns about pregnancy, birth, and postpartum
3. Local professionals Referral
4. Personalized Birth & Postpartum Plan
5. Childbirth Education (One topic each visit: Labour Road Map; Pain management; Informed Consent; Breathing strategies; Partner's Role; Postpartum recovery; C-section preparation)
6. Postpartum: Transition into Parenthood (Couple's preparation)
7. Breastfeeding and Newborn sleep
8. Spinning Babies: helping baby get into the optimal position for birth
