What is a Birth Doula?

A Birth Doula is about empowering parents by offering evidence-based information, emotional and physical support. A doula will not replace a midwife, a doctor or a partner, instead, a doula is an active member of the birth team. The main focus is to ensure mom (and dad) feel empowered, educated, loved, and celebrated so they can feel secure in birthing and parenting their baby. In other words, a doula becomes your birth bestie working hard to give you the best birth experience despite the outcome.

COMPLETE BIRTH PACKAGE (RECOMENDED FOR FIRST TIME PARENTS/VBAC) includes:

Free Meet-and-Greet
5 Prenatal visits at our office so you can be fully prepare for labour & delivery. Your doula will do a emotional and mental check up at every meeting and will educate on all stages of childbirth. Access to our lending library as well as further information and contacts upon request.
4 Rebozo Work & Spinning Babies (prepare your body for birth and encourage baby to get into the optimal position for birth.
No limits to calling, texting or emailing for any questions or concerns between 9 AM - 5PM unless it's an emergency.
On-call support two weeks from your estimated due date until your baby is born
Continuous emotional and physical support (hands on comforting measures; spinning babies exercises/rebozo/positions to encourage baby to descend into the birth canal) for you and your partner during labour and birth.
1-3 Postpartum visits to follow up and discuss your birth experience; breastfeeding support, emotional support for mom and dad.
Photographs and video at any time during labour and birth if specially requested in prenatal visits

ESSENTIAL BIRTH PACKAGE (Recomended for Parents of multiples) includes:

Free Meet and Greet
1 Prenatal Visit: Birth & Postpartum Plan
On-call support two weeks from your estimated due date until your baby is born
Continuous emotional and physical support (hands on comforting measures; spinning babies exercises/rebozo/positions to encourage baby to descend into the birth canal) for you and your partner during labour and birth.
1 Postpartum visits to follow up and discuss your birth experience; breastfeeding support, emotional support for mom and dad.
OPTIONAL ADD-ON: Rebozo Work & Spinning Babies Visits (prepare your body for birth and encourage baby to get into the optimal position for birth). Each visit costs $30.

Only Birth Package includes:
